Memivo is a modern, minimal flashcard application designed around clarity, consistency, and mastery.

Unlike many flashcard tools that introduce unnecessary complexity, Memivo focuses on what truly improves retention: structured repetition, clear progress tracking, and distraction-free learning.

The core system is based on a lightweight mastery model: - Only the last 3 answers are tracked - Smart weighted repetition prioritizes weak words - Learned words are dynamically excluded

The app works fully offline for vocabulary practice and includes an optional AI enhancement layer powered by credits, allowing users to generate translations, explanations, and pronunciations when needed.

Memivo is built as a scalable universal flashcard platform, starting with German B1 vocabulary and designed for future expansion across languages and levels.

Why it exists

Language learning improves through simplicity and repetition, not feature overload. I built Memivo to explore how far a focused, minimal system can go when it prioritizes mastery over gamification.

The problem

Many flashcard apps either become too complex or too gamified, introducing unnecessary friction. Learners often need a clean, consistent environment that encourages long-term retention without cognitive overload.

Current state

Live on Google Play (public release), with premium subscriptions and a 7-day trial. Niched to the vocabulary the official DTZ, telc, and Goethe A2–B1 exams actually test — weighted repetition, a 3-step mastery model, and an AI enhancement layer.

What's next

  • Optimize the Play Store listing (ASO)
  • Expand to additional languages and levels
  • Deck marketplace or custom deck import
