FahrAtlas guides people through getting a driving licence in Germany. It shows every step in the right order, calculates what the licence really costs from official fees and driving-school prices, and lists driving schools, first-aid courses, eye tests and licensing offices — each with sources and a check date.

It is independent, free to use without an account, and available in German, English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, Persian and Polish.

Why it exists

Getting a licence in Germany is confusing, expensive and opaque — especially for people who are new to the country and don't read official German comfortably. I wanted one honest place that explains the process and the real costs.

The problem

Information is scattered across authorities, driving schools and forums. Prices are hard to compare, rules differ by city, and almost nothing exists in the languages many learners actually speak.

Current state

Live at fahratlas.de:

  • A personal licence roadmap ("Mein Weg")
  • A cost calculator built on official fees and school prices
  • More than 1,100 driving schools with classes, languages and prices where available
  • City guides for Germany's largest cities
  • A neutral comparison of theory-learning apps
  • An area where driving schools manage their own profile

All of it in 8 languages.

What's next

  • Growing organic search reach
  • More driving schools completing their own profiles
  • Reviews and enquiries between learners and schools
